Exercise Physiologist Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs
  • Closely monitor and assist patients while they execute exercise protocols
  • Conduct assessments throughout plan of care to ensure appropriate progress
  • Keep record of patient progress through assessment plan
  • Reassess any protocols based on the patients progress
  • Communicate with providers in a professional manner patient progress or any new issues that arise during treatment
  • Work closely with medical staff to ensure complete patient care is established and maintained
  • Create educational/exercise material
  • Highly organized and great attention to detail administratively as well as with patient care
  • Assist providers with daily patient notes
  • Have a basic understanding of the neurological connection between the spine and brain and how physical medicine can stimulate a physiological change in the body
  • Be teachable and willing to learn and adapt to changes quickly
  • Willingness to think outside the box and ask questions about patient care and how to improve patient results
  • A desire to help others and be invested in the outcome of their treatment while developing patient relationships that follow the mission and vision of the clinic
  • Be an asset, team player and integral part of an exceptional team of providers and staff
  • Comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and have a basic understanding of such
  • Clean and maintain all clinic exercise equipment
  • Complete all miscellaneous task assigned

Exercise Physiologist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology
  • 1+ year(s) experience in the field
  • BLS/CPR certified a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Strong, independent judgement
  • High level of understanding of human anatomy and functions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients and healthcare staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

  • 8 hour shift
