Nanette Conner is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, Board Certified with the AANP) at our Denton clinic and has been serving our patients with a smile since December of 2020. Nanette’s healthcare journey began in 1994 where she spent time working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in nursing homes. From there she went on to work as a Medical Assistant for a Dermatologist in California until making the decision to pursue a higher education in the Nursing field.
In 2002, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Upon completion of her BSN studies, Nanette spent several years gaining experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in several different areas. She spent two years in a Medical-Surgical hospital unit, one year working with Multiple Sclerosis patients, three years serving Home Health patients, four years as a school nurse, and seven years in Women’s Services (Antepartum, Postpartum, and newborn nursery). Nanette went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Bradley University in 2018 where she specialized in Family Practice. Following this, Nanette spent most of her time doing Home Healthcare visits for geriatric patients.
Since joining the Woodlands Medical family, Nanette has shown nothing but compassion and dedication to our patients. She truly cares about each and every patient that walks into our clinic and strives to deliver the best evidence-based care possible.
When Nanette is not serving patients in the office she enjoys painting, crafting, cooking, and partaking in outdoor activities such as: fishing, swimming, and caring for her llamas. However, her favorite thing to do is spend one-on-one time with her husband of 20 years, Justin, and two children Jillian and Luke.
